Friendly, local technology help for everyday people.
Hello! My name is Steve! Thanks so much for stopping by!
I started Tech402 because I'm seeing that some are feeling a bit left behind by technology as it advances so quickly! If that's you, that's okay! I don't know everything either! But I'm tech savvy and I'm sure I can help! If not, I'll help point you to the best resource.
I teach IT courses over at Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, Nebraska. I'm also a doctoral student at the College of Information Science and Technology at University of Nebraska at Omaha. I'm researching Generative AI and its use in post-secondary computer science education.
I earned my master’s degree in Computer Science Education from UNO in 2022. I also hold a certificate in Information Assurance from UNO and a web development certificate from Sessions College of Professional Design. In 2012, I received an MS in Communications from Quinnipiac University in Connectcut, and in 2006 I graduated from the University of College with a BS in Finance.
I have eight years experience in the technology field, serving in a support and development role for Database Publishing Systems, a software development company in Connecticut.
Getting tech help shouldn’t be complicated. Whether you're having trouble with a device or just want to feel more confident using technology, I’ve made it easy to connect and get support.
Text or call me to get started.
Tell me briefly what you need help with — don’t worry if you’re not sure how to explain it. I’ll ask a few simple questions to understand what’s going on.
I'll try to help in the moment, but we can also find a time to connect if it's something that requires more time.
Evenings and weekends are often available!
I don’t charge fixed prices. If I was helpful, a tip is always appreciated.
How much do you charge?
I'm not charging fees, but if you feel I did a good job, a tip would be greatly appreciated!
Do you come to my home?
Yes! I offer in-person visits throughout Omaha and nearby communities.
Can you help me over the phone or online?
Definitely. I often help people by phone or through secure screen sharing.
